The Dallas Cowboys will reportedly trade nose tackle Jason Ferguson to the Miami Dolphins.

Here are a few quotes from Jason when he talked to Smoaky earlier today:

“You and I both talked about this a few weeks back. We knew this was coming”, he said.

Ferguson added, “For three years I was able to play for a team that I grew up loving and almost had to root for if I was going to stay in my father’s home. I wish we could have finished the deal, but I feel like we as a team in Dallas left a lot of stones on the field.”

Ferguson then said, “Knowing I’ll be in Miami with Bill Parcells will make this transition a little easier”. Ferguson added, “I am very lucky to have a coach (Parcells) that actually looks out for me and we have a lot of common interests. A lot of guys really wish they had the same relationship with their coach.”

We wish “Fergie” the best of luck!

  1. I hate to see him go, especially after reading the comments he made. I understand the cap ramifications of this move - sending him to Miami frees up a couple million dollars of cap space, and we just invested a lot of money into Jay Ratliff (and to a lesser extent, Tank Johnson).

But still, as last year showed, you can never have too much depth at that position.
