Latest John McCain ad slams Obama for canceled troop visit.

By Paul Gleiser | July 29, 2008 | Print This Print This

While in Germany, Barack Obama canceled a visit to wounded troops at the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center. The Obama campaign says they canceled the visit after being advised by Pentagon officials that the visit would be considered a campaign event and would thus violate Defense Department policy with respect to partisan events on military facilities.

The McCain campaign has heavily criticized the decision and is now running this commercial in several battleground states.
