    Vets group launches ad calling for Obama to acknowlege the surge.

    A group called Veterans for Freedom announced today in St. Paul that it has produced a TV ad calling for Barack Obama to acknowledge the success of the ’surge’ in Iraq. The ad will run in multiple markets under a $7 million budget.

    Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, visiting Iraq as a part of a congressional fact-finding tour, told ABC’s Terry Moran that even taking into account the undisputed success of the U.S. military surge, he would still oppose it if given the chance to vote again.
