Suspect Arrested after Woman Reported Assault at Park

TYLER � A Whitehouse man has been arrested for public lewdness after allegedly groping a woman. According to KETK, it happened around 1:45 Thursday afternoon at Rose Rudman Park. Authorities said the woman was grabbed and fondled from behind by a man in the park as she was pushing her child�s stroller. The woman screamed, drawing the attention of others in the park, who followed the man and called police. The man, later identified as Jacob Bobbitt, 19, was pulled over on Rhones Quarter Road and arrested for public lewdness. He was booked into the Smith County Jail. Bobbit was also arrested in September on the same charge after he allegedly fondled a woman in a Tyler Wal-Mart.
