Longview Bar Investigated after Fatal Fight

LONGVIEW — The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission this week confirmed agents are investigating a Longview bar after the fatal beating this summer of a man in the establishment�s parking lot. According to KETK and the Longview News-Journal, an investigation is underway for outstanding complaints filed with the agency against Lodge Sports Bar & Billiards. Sean Drake was beaten to death in the Lodge parking lot after closing July 12. This past month, Drake�s death was ruled a homicide, and police said the case would be referred to the Gregg County District Attorney�s Office to determine if evidence will be presented to a grand jury.
