Teen Accused of Murder to Plead Insanity

HENDERSON — A Northeast Texas teen on trial for allegedly murdering a woman and her two children said she will plead insanity. Rachel Nicole Pittman, of Redwater, has been accused of stabbing a woman and her two young children to death in May of 2011. She then allegedly set the victim’s house on fire. Pittman’s trial is being held in Rusk County after a change of venue was granted. She’s being held in the Rusk County Jail.
