Texas House Debates Rules, Powers

AUSTIN (AP) — Lawmakers have defeated the vast majority of measures tea party legislators tried to pass into the Texas House rules to boost transparency in the Legislature. Republican Representatives David Simpson of Longview (pictured), Van Taylor, and Bill Zedler saw most of their measures fail Monday.
