SMITH COUNTY — A Department of Public Safety trooper was involved in a minor crash Monday afternoon. According to DPS officials, the officer wrecked shortly after noon at FM 2015 and I-20. KETK reports the trooper was turning around on FM 2015 when the front end of his vehicle clipped a truck. There was minor damage to the vehicles, but there were no injuries. Authorities say the trooper had been searching the area for a motorcyclist who had been speeding.
