Longview’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day Activities

LONGVIEW — Longview’s annual Martin Luther King Jr. Citywide Celebration featured a parade from Broughton Recreation Center to Mt. Olive Baptist Church. A Memorial Service followed at noon at the church, with guest speaker Reverend J.H. Creal Sr. Under the theme “The Dream, From the Community to the World,” Longview held several events in Dr. King’s honor. Monday’s activities began with the Table of Brotherhood Breakfast at Johnny Cace’s Seafood and Steakhouse.
