Chris PaddieAUSTIN — Marshall State Representative Chris Paddie has co-authored a House bill that would drastically change gun law in Texas. If the bill passes, licensed concealed handgun owners would no longer be required to conceal their firearms. Paddie says, “Many other states allow their citizens some form of open carry, and in my opinion, Texas should be leading the charge to protect our Second Amendment rights and supporting gun rights.” House bill 700 does not change the licensing or background check requirements for acquiring a handgun or concealed handgun license.
