SMITH COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews on Monday will have various lanes closed on Broadway Avenue (US 69) between South Loop 323 and 5th Street (SH 64) for pavement testing. The work in that location is expected to last one day. Then beginning Tuesday, crews are planning two days of pavement-repair work on Westbound Interstate Highway 20 between Barber Road and Joy-Wright Mountain Road in eastern Smith County. Once that work is complete, crews are scheduled to make pavement repairs at the four-way stop intersection of Farm Road 850 and State Highway 135 in Overton.
