Death in Nacogdoches County Jail Investigated

Texas Rangers BadgeNACOGDOCHES — The Texas Rangers are investigating the death of a inmate found hanging in his jail cell. Rickey Lynn Flanagan, 27, was booked into the Nacogdoches County Jail early Friday evening. He was charged with driving while intoxicated. Authorities say when he arrived at the jail he was very intoxicated, and was placed into a detoxification cell. When they checked on him around 15 minutes later was found hanging from a partial wall. He was pronounced dead at a Nacogdoches hospital. The body was sent to Tyler for autopsy.
