Deuell Seeks to Clamp Down on Abortion Facilities

AUSTIN (AP) � A Republican in the Texas Senate is proposing tighter rules for abortion facilities. Greenville Senator Bob Deuell, whose district covers portions of North and East Texas, says he wants to protect the safety of women seeking to end pregnancies. Abortion rights supporters say it’s a back-door attempt to force clinics to close.
