More Info Released on Wednesday Fire

TYLER — Officials have released more information on a fire that struck a Tyler home Wednesday. According to the Tyler Fire Department, occupants admitted using candles to light the house due to the power having been disconnected to the residence. Apparently the fire started due to a lit candle that was left unattended. Firefighters responded to the two-alarm blaze just before 1:45 Wednesday morning at 318 Saunders Avenue. One firefighter was injured at the scene, but was treated and released from a local hospital. The fire apparently originated in a front room being used for a bedroom.
