Early Morning Shooting Under Investigation

TYLER � Tyler Police continue their investigation into an early morning shooting. Officers were dispatched around 3:00 Monday morning to 3100 Highway 31 East in reference to a man that had been shot in the abdomen. An 18-year-old Hispanic male told authorities that he had been walking home from a gas station when a white car with black wheels pulled up next to him and shot him one time, then sped off. The victim was able to walk home and call 911. He was transported to a local hospital with what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries.
