Charges Filed in Fatal Camp County Crash

PITTSBURG � Authorities have arrested Omar Robles, 19, of Pittsburg, charging him with criminally negligent homicide in a fatal Camp County accident that occurred Monday. The arrest comes after the investigation into the one vehicle crash that caused the death of Loida Trinidad, 17, also of Pittsburg. The crash injured four additional teenagers. KETK reports four other occupants were not injured. The accident happened on Farm Road 1520, about 150 feet west of County Road 2127, just before 10:00 Monday morning. Investigating troopers believe Robles was traveling at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his car, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and strike a bridge guardrail, ejecting a passenger. Pending the completion of the investigation, the case will be turned over to the Camp County District Attorney�s office.
