Urologist Joins UT Health Northeast

Delbert RudyTYLER — Urologist Delbert Rudy, MD, has joined UT Health Northeast after more than a decade in private practice in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Dr. Rudy has over 30 years of experience as a urologist, which is a physician and surgeon who treats diseases of the male and female urinary tracts and the male reproductive organs. He is board certified in urology.

In addition to seeing patients, Dr. Rudy was a professor of surgery at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston Medical School in Houston. He also was on the faculty of the Department of Surgery at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine in Albuquerque.

His special interests include treating adults who are having problems urinating and neurogenic bladder, in which a person lacks bladder control because of a brain, spinal cord, or nerve condition. Dr. Rudy also treats female incontinence and pediatric wetting problems.

In addition to his medical degree, Dr. Rudy has a master’s degree in pharmacology from the University of Dalhousie in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, and a master’s degree in business administration from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth.
