TxDOT signTYLER — Here’s a quick look at other work planned in the Tyler District of the Texas Department of Transportation.

LONGVIEW — Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to begin approximately three weeks of base and pavement repairs on Southwest Loop 281, between Farm Road 2205 (Jaycee Drive) and U.S. Highway 80 (Marshall Ave.). Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress. Motorists are encouraged to be prepared to reduce speed and merge in and around the work zone.

ATHENS – Contract construction crews from Texas Department of Transportation contractor APAC Construction, Ltd., of Dallas, has started four weeks of nighttime repair and resurfacing work in and around the Athens Square. It started last night at 6:00. The work will be conducted Sunday-Thursday between 6:00pm to 6:00pm, weather permitting. During the nighttime hours, traffic will be detoured around the Square, and parking in the work area will be prohibited.

Also this week in Henderson County, TxDOT maintenance crews are scheduled to perform seal coat operations on Farm Road 1214 in Caney City, Farm Road 3062 in Star Harbor, and Farm Road 2636 southeast of Malakoff. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.

VAN ZANDT COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation contract crews this week are scheduled to resurface the State Highway 64-Interstate Highway 20 interchange. In addition to temporary lane closures in and around the intersection, this work will involve temporary closures of the entrance and exit interstate ramps serving the intersection. Once that work is complete, the crew is scheduled to move to Farm Road 3227 to perform the same work.

Elsewhere, TxDOT maintenance crews this week are scheduled to perform base and pavement repairs in various locations on U.S. Highway 80 between Farm Road 859 in Edgewood and State Highway 19 north of Canton. A second crew is scheduled to continue resurfacing work on Farm Road 16 in and around Van. Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic in two-lane areas.

CHEROKEE COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled begin resurfacing operations in various locations on Farm Road 855 between U.S. Highway 175 in Cuney and U.S. Highway 69 in Mount Selman. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.

Looking ahead to the week of June 17, contract construction crews are scheduled to begin pavement-repair and resurfacing operations in Jacksonville on Farm Road 347 (Bolton Street) between Cherokee Street and South Loop 456. Signs informing motorists of the work will be posted during the week of June 10.

ANDERSON COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to perform edge work on Farm Road 1137 east of Palestine between U.S. Highway 84 and the end of state maintenance. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.

WOOD COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue pavement and edge repairs in various locations on Farm Road 2422 between U.S. Highway 80 east of Mineola and Farm Road 1804 (Hoard Road). A second crew is scheduled to perform resurfacing operations on Farm Road 1801 east of Mineola. Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.

RUSK COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to perform edge work on Farm Road 782, between Farm Road 1716 in Oak Hill and State Highway 149 near the Gregg County Line. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers and pilot vehicles will control traffic.
