Engineering Professor Added at LeTourneau University
Posted/updated on: July 20, 2013 at 7:20 amLONGVIEW — LeTourneau University has hired LETU alumnus Dr. David Dittenber as assistant professor of civil engineering, effective August 1. Dittenber holds a Bachelor of Science in engineering, mechanical concentration, from LeTourneau University, a Master of Science in civil engineering and a doctoral degree in civil engineering from West Virginia University. While at West Virginia University, he was a National Science Foundation graduate research fellow and an American Society for Engineering Education/NSF engineering innovation fellow.
Dittenber has university teaching experience at West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia, and secondary teaching experience at Christian Heritage School in Longview, Texas. While at West Virginia University, he also worked at the Constructed Facilities Center as a research assistant for numerous projects focusing on the use of fiber-reinforced composites as structural materials and at Bedford Reinforced Plastics as a visiting researcher.
