balloonsmgnLONGVIEW — The balloonists participating in the U.S. National Hot Air Balloon Championship finally get a chance to take flight. KETK reports Tuesday and Wednesday’s races were canceled due to poor weather conditions, but Thursday’s weather was deemed safe for flying. Pilots launched near the old Foster school, with the option of four target sites: Maude Cobb, two at Lear Park, and the fourth at Pine Tree Intermediate School.
