Police Nab Tyler Burglary Suspect

aundral_bealTYLER — A report of a burglary in progress sent Tyler police to the 700 block of Chimney Rock Wednesday afternoon. Arrested was Aundral Beal, 48, of Tyler. He was charged with burglary of a habitation and was transported to the Smith County Jail.

A homeowner on Chimney Rock told police that he arrived home and noticed his TV missing from his residence, then went upstairs and found three guns missing from his residence also. The homeowner looked out a bedroom window and observed a man running out his back yard in to a wooded area carrying a TV.

While police were searching, the suspect entered a second home on Fallmeadow Drive and told an elderly woman he needed a drink of water. The woman was able to get out of the house and notify police that a stranger had entered her home.

Officers found the suspect matching the description they had been given on Cedar Creek Drive. He is charged with burglary of a habitation and was transported to the Smith County Jail. Officers found the stolen TV and are still searching for the weapons that were stolen.
