TYLER – Tyler ISD is inviting parents and community members to participate with District officials in developing a Three-Year Strategic Plan, and meetings begin today. Officials say the goal is to further enhance the learning environment and academic performance of students in the District. The planning process will begin this month, with the formation of a Strategic Planning Committee. According to a TISD news release, that will consist of “a group of dedicated parents and community members committed to supporting the District with their input and attendance.” Officials say the formal Strategic Plan will be presented to the Tyler ISD Board of Trustees for approval in March 2014.
Special Community Awareness Sessions are scheduled to explain the strategic planning process and expectations for those who are interested or who have questions. To learn more, individuals you can attend a two-hour session. It is from 11:00am till 1:00pm today in the Davidson Conference Room at the Plyler Instructional Complex, 807 West Glenwood Boulevard. Bring a brown bag lunch.
