LINDALE — The City of Lindale has released a new website as of October 7. The new website design and reformat bid proposed by Group M7 of Tyler for http://www.LindaleTX.gov was approved in August by the Lindale City Council. The City of Lindale is currently contracting with business outsource Project Progress, the company responsible for working with Group M7 to achieve the City’s communication and marketing goals online.

Officials say the new website features an improved navigation of information and documents, increased exposure for the Lindale Police Department, social media links, local weather online, and a registration outlet to receive email notifications from the City of Lindale. Other features include community links, an outlet for City news alerts, information for Lindale visitors, and links to partners of the City including all local sports associations. The website continues to offer links to pay city water bills and criminal court fees, information needed for business development, City Council agendas and minutes, plus contact information for City staff.

“The internet is a key source of information for citizens, and we want to make sure the City of Lindale continues to reach our citizens and businesses with the most updated information possible,” states City Manager Owen Scott. “We have entered the world of social media for those who find their information there, and we want our website to be the key source of information for the City of Lindale.” Tweaks and updates to the new website will continue over the next few weeks according to a news release. Officials say input and/or questions from citizens are welcome at Info@LindaleTX.gov if you care to get in touch.
