TxDOT logoTYLER — Here’s a quick look at other work planned in the Tyler District of the Texas Department of Transportation.

SMITH COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to make pavement repairs at the intersections of State Highway 31 and Farm Road 2661 west of Tyler, and SH 31 and Farm Road 315 in Chandler. A second crew is scheduled to continue base and pavement repairs on State Highway 135 between Troup and Arp. Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress. Motorists are encouraged to be prepared to reduce speed and merge in and around the work zones.

VAN ZANDT COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue pavement-repair and resurfacing work on U.S. Highway 80 between Fruitvale and Waldrip Street in Grand Saline. A second crew is scheduled to perform resurfacing operations in and around the intersection of State Highway 110 and Farm Road 17 in Grand Saline. Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress. Motorists are encouraged to be prepared to reduce speed and merge in and around the work zones.

RUSK COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue base and pavement repairs on Farm Road 1798 between Farm Road 839 in McKnight and Farm Road 225 in Laneville. A second crew is scheduled to perform edge work in various locations on State Highway 43 and State Highway 149 near Tatum. Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic in two-lane areas.

Also this week in Henderson, preliminary work to eliminate the State Highway 64 bottleneck between Industrial Drive and the Star is scheduled to begin this week with crews clearing brush. Lane closures for this project should be minimal through the end of the year.

ANDERSON COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to perform base and pavement repairs in and around the intersection of Farm Road 19 and Farm Road 2574 in Neches. A second crew is scheduled to conclude base and pavement repairs in various locations on Farm Road 319 between State Highway 294 west of Elkhart and the end of state maintenance in Redtown, then move to perform the same work on State Highway 294 east of Slocum between Farm Road 323 and Farm Road 228 near the Cherokee County Line. Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.

GREGG COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue shoulder work on the U.S. Highway 259-Kilgore Bypass between the north end and Farm Road 1249. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.

HENDERSON COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue pavement repair and resurfacing operations on Farm Road 1615 between State Highway 19 south of Athens, and the end of state maintenance. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.
