CPS Takes Custody of Child Allegedly Stabbed by Father

TYLER � There�s new information about the 9-year old child who was injured during an argument between her mother and father. KETK reports she�s been taken into custody by Child Protective Services. Police believe the girl was stabbed by her father during a domestic dispute. It happened around 1:00 Friday morning in the 1300 block of Bellehaven Court in Tyler. The father, Vahid Lamea, 52, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The mother and child were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
