TxDOT Project Updates

SMITH COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue base and pavement repairs on State Highway 135 between Troup and Arp. A second crew is scheduled to continue edge repairs on Farm Road 2710 between Farm Road 16 in Lindale and Farm Road 14 near Red Springs. Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.
GREGG COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue shoulder work on the U.S. Highway 259-Kilgore Bypass between the north end and Farm Road 1249. Northbound traffic will be detoured onto Farm Road 349 and State Highway 31/US 259 Business on Wednesday and Thursday while crews finish repairs to the northbound transition ramps. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.
CHEROKEE COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews Monday began making base and pavement repairs on U.S. Highway 69 between the Cherokee County Airport and Rusk City Limits. They’ll perform overlay operations on State Highway 204 between Loop 456 in Jacksonville and State Highway 110 in Ponta the rest of the week. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic in two-lane areas.
HENDERSON COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to conclude base and pavement repairs in and around the intersection of State Highway 31 and Farm Road 315 in Chandler. A second crew is scheduled to continue pavement repair and resurfacing operations on Farm Road 1615 between State Highway 19 south of Athens, and the end of state maintenance. Elsewhere, crews are scheduled to perform ditch work on State Highway 198 near Farm Road 316 in Payne Springs. Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.
RUSK COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue base and pavement repairs on Farm Road 1798 between U.S. Highway 79 south of Henderson and Farm Road 225 in Laneville. A second crew is scheduled to perform ditch work in the same area, and on State Highway 149 between State Highway 43 in Tatum and the Gregg County Line. Elsewhere, crews are scheduled to perform edge work on State Highway 322 between Henderson and Lakeport. Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic in two-lane areas.
WOOD COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to perform ditch work on Farm Road 2869 near Holly Lake Ranch. Elsewhere, striping crews will be at work on State Highway 154 and State Highway 37 in Quitman striping the recently repaired areas. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.
VAN ZANDT COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to perform edge repairs on Farm Road 859 between Farm Road 1395 north of Edgewood and State Highway 19 near the Rains County Line. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress. Motorists are encouraged to be prepared to reduce speed and merge in and around the work zone.
ANDERSON COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue base and pavement repairs on U.S. Highway 287 between Elkhart and the Houston County Line. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.
