Suspect Cited, Released in Inappropriate Contact Incidents
Posted/updated on: November 4, 2013 at 3:56 amTYLER — Tyler police have cited a man allegedly responsible for two incidents of inappropriate contact. According to a news release, “Thanks to the media and public the Tyler Police Department received numerous tips on the identity of the suspect wanted in connection to assault by contact of a female victim at Wal-Mart on Troup Highway. Investigators also determined that he was also responsible for the incident at Target.” Police identify the suspect as Chaz Aaron Sansone, 24, of Jacksonville. Officials say Sansone was found, issued two citations for Class C assault, and released.
Sansone allegedly grabbed the buttocks of a female shopper inside the Wal-Mart on Troup Hwy. and Target on S. Broadway. According to police, on Tuesday, October 22, around 6:00 p.m., security video obtained from Wal-Mart shows the suspect acting suspicious and following the victim throughout the store before he touched her inappropriately. On Wednesday, October 23, around 8:40 p.m. a woman reported to police that a male suspect had grabbed her buttocks while she was shopping inside Target on South Broadway.
