TYLER — Tyler Junior College is growing by leaps and bounds. According to KETK, trustees this week discussed plans for upcoming campus construction. On the agenda: a new dorm, a health center which is under construction, and expanding the energy center on the West Campus. Trustees say the school’s already bulging at the seams. Board President John Hills says there’s currently a 500-person waiting list. A lot of those students are from outside the area, so Hills says if there’s not student housing available, a lot of those students wind up going to another school where they can get housing. According to Hills, college officials plan to have all the new buildings finished by the fall of 2015.
