Autopsy Report Released on Murdered Gilmer Woman

UPSHUR COUNTY � A Gilmer woman whom police say was killed in front of her toddler son by her estranged boyfriend during a September football game was shot three times, according to the Longview News-Journal. Cheyenne Green, 29, died September 26 of a gunshot wound to her head that perforated her spinal cord, according to the autopsy report released yesterday. Green suffered three gunshot wounds, the fatal shot to her head, a shot to her face and one to her shoulder. Green was at Gilmer High School�s Buckeye Stadium that night to pick up her 2-year-old son from his father, Jonathan Ray Shepherd, 32. Shepherd remains in the Upshur County Jail under $1 million bond, charged with capital murder.
