Lindale Woman Killed when Hit by SUV

LINDALE � A Lindale woman has died from her injuries after being hit by an SUV. The accident happened around 7:30 Saturday evening in the 3400 block of South Main Street. Lindale police say Karen Hand, 61, was crossing the road when she was hit by a vehicle in the southbound lane of traffic. She was taken to a local hospital where she later died. Authorities do not believe distracted driving played a part in the accident.
