Representative Flynn Seeking Another Term

Dan Flynn2AUSTIN — State Representative Dan Flynn of Van made it official Friday morning by filing his candidacy papers with the Republican Party of Texas. Flynn is seeking his 7th term as State Representative of House District 2, comprised of Hopkins, Hunt, and Van Zandt Counties. “After much prayer and thoughtful consideration, Susan and I are looking forward to continuing our service,” remarked Representative Flynn this morning. “The people of House District 2 have encouraged me to seek another term as their Representative and I am honored to oblige.”

Representative Flynn was first elected to the Texas House of Representatives in 2002. Prior to his election, he served as County Judge of Van Zandt County and had a distinguished career in the banking industry, including service as the Deputy Banking Commissioner for the State of Texas. Representative Flynn currently serves as Co-Chair of the Select Committee on Transparency in State Agency Operations, Vice-Chair of the Committee on Investments and Financial Institutions, and is a senior member of the Homeland Security & Public Safety Committee.
