I20-EastTYLER — Here’s something to keep in mind if you’re traveling Interstate 20. More than half the stretch of the Interstate from Dallas County to the Louisiana border is more wreck-prone than the state average. Those findings were delivered at a Texas Transportation Commission meeting held in Tyler. KETK and the Longview News-Journal report the especially crash-prone section runs from the Marshall area to just west of the Tyler area. It covers 55% of the Dallas County-to-Louisiana stretch. There are higher crash rates reported in Smith and Gregg Counties.
