Suspects Sought in Troup-Area Burglary

thumb_police-9TROUP — Cherokee County authorities seek clues after numerous items were stolen this month from a home and shed in the Troup area. According to KETK, deputies were called to a home in the 1900 block of Highway 110. It is believed that between the hours of midnight on Tuesday, November 12, and noon on Wednesday, November 13, unknown suspects entered the residence and took the items. The owner of the residence was not living there at the time and was using the home as a storage area for his tools and equipment. The property owner stated that he was at the property the previous evening. When he returned, he noticed tire tracks leading up to the mobile home and a padlock cut from the door to the home, as well as a window broken out on the storage shed.

Items stolen from the shed and home were:

Dewalt brand 4-inch grinder, yellow and black in color, valued at $145.
Two Dewalt brand 3/4-inch and 1/2-inch drive electric drills valued at $200.
Stihl brand 18-inch bar chain saw valued at $450.
20-foot aluminum extension ladder valued at $145.
90-foot spool of Romax electrical wire (3 strand) valued at $260.
Two 15-inch travel trailer tires valued at $160.
Miscellaneous other hand and power tools at an estimated value of $2,000.
