thumb_TISD-LogoTYLER – Students at Hogg Middle School will soon become boxcar engineers as they work together to build entries for the school’s Duct Tape Derby, Lap 2 project, thanks to a $4,000 grant awarded to the school by the Tyler ISD Foundation. The Foundation recently awarded almost $20,000 in grants to ten programs within the District.

“We are proud of these teachers for all of the wonderful new things they are implementing in their classrooms,” said Kim Farrell, president of the Tyler ISD Foundation. “The grants are meant to enrich the learning process of our students and we are honored to help make this happen.” The Duct Tape Derby is just one example of the innovative programs now made possible across the District.
