Tree Work In Longview’s Grace Creek Drainage Area

LONGVIEW — As a result of the 2011 drought, the City of Longview has lost many trees within the Grace Creek Drainage Corridor which includes the Paul Boorman Trail. Weather permitting, the Parks and Recreation Department and Public Works Department are combining forces this week to work throughout the property to cut, chip, or remove the downed trees.

The Paul Boorman Trail will remain open during this period but users are asked to exercise caution when around work areas. Some sections of the trail may be intermittently closed to allow for the movement of equipment but these closures will be temporary in nature and we appreciate everyone’s understanding.
