TYLER — Here’s a quick look at other work planned in the Tyler District of the Texas Department of Transportation.
SMITH COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue edge repairs on Farm Road 2710 between Farm Road 16 in Lindale and Farm Road 14 near Red Springs. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.
GREGG COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue hot mix resurfacing operations on two area roadways, including: Farm Road 349 between the Kilgore City Limits and Farm Road 2276; and Farm Road 2605 between Farm Road 1845 in White Oak and the end of state maintenance. Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.
RUSK COUNTY – Contract striping crews this week are scheduled to stripe the new pavement on n orth bound U.S. Highway 259 between Loop 571 in Henderson and Farm Road 850. The work consists of a slow-moving convoy, and motorists are asked to stay behind the crash truck to avoid tracking through wet paint. Meanwhile, shoulder operations are scheduled to continue on the southbound side of US 259 between Farm Road 850 and Loop 571. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress. Motorists are encouraged to be prepared to reduce speed and merge in and around the work zones.
CHEROKEE COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue base and pavement repairs in various locations on State Highway 204 between Loop 456 in Jacksonville and State Highway 110 in Ponta. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic in two-lane areas.
HENDERSON COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to perform shoulder work on Farm Road 1615 between State Highway 19 south of Athens and the end of state maintenance. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.
WOOD COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to perform ditch work on Farm Road 2869 near Holly Lake Ranch. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.
VAN ZANDT COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to perform base and pavement repairs on Farm Road 1805 between Van and Jamestown. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.
