KETK reports the blaze started around midnight in the 10,000 block of Lakeshore Drive in Chapel Hill. A family of three safely escaped, but everything the family owned was consumed by flames. The Chapel Hill Baseball association is putting together a benefit for the family. This Saturday at 9 a.m., a softball tournament will be held at the Chapel Hill Baseball Field. To help raise money organizers will be serving BBQ and have shirts for sale. All of the proceeds will go to the family. An account with the Altra Federal Credit Union called The Hester Benefit Fund has been created for those who can’t attend and still want to donate.
