Tyler Robbery Suspect Arrested in Longview

Donterius Montrey JacksonTYLER — A suspect in a December Tyler robbery has surrendered to law enforcement. On January 14 Longview Police stopped the stolen Buick Roadmaster for speeding. The driver and only occupant was identified as Donterius Montrey Jackson, a 20 year old male from Longview. The car was confirmed as stolen out of Tyler PD. Jackson was arrested for possession of the stolen vehicle. A small revolver pistol was found in his possession that matched the one used in the aggravated robbery from “The Reserves”. He was also arrested for felon in possession of a firearm, failure to identify as a fugitive and a warrant for no driver’s license.

Thursday, A warrant was issued by the Tyler Police Department on Jackson for Aggravated Robbery, a 1st degree felony for the incident at “The Reserves”. The charge was added to those he is already facing. He is currently incarcerated in the Gregg County Jail.

On December 17th, officers were sent to the Reserves Apartment complex, 2851 County Road 272. The victim told officers he was carjacked at gunpoint. The victim said it happened at the front gate of the complex after he noticed he was being followed by at least two black males in a white Chevy Impala. The victim said he was forced out of his burgundy 1995 Buick Roadmaster at gunpoint. The suspect then got into the drivers seat of the victims car and left the area with the Chevy Impala following. The victim was not injured.
