TxDOT Project Updates

TYLER — Here’s a quick look at other work planned in Smith County by the Tyler District of the Texas Department of Transportation.
SMITH COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to perform edge work on Farm Road 838 between State Highway 135 northeast of Arp and the Rusk County Line. Elsewhere, TxDOT maintenance crews are scheduled to perform edge work on Farm Road 2710 between Farm Road 16 in Lindale and Farm Road 14 in Red Springs. Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress. Motorists are encouraged to be prepared to reduce speed and merge in and around the work zone.
GLADEWATER – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance this week are scheduled to resume several weeks of pavement-repair work on U.S. Highway 80 between Loop 485 in Gladewater and the Upshur County Line. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic in two-lane areas.
HENDERSON COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to make base and pavement repairs on Farm Road 1615 between State Highway 19 south of Athens and County Road 4517. Elsewhere, TxDOT maintenance crews are scheduled to perform ditch work on U.S. Highway 175 in and around Frankston. Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.
VAN ZANDT COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to perform fog seal operations State Highway 198 between Farm Road 3227 and State Highway 243, followed by the same work later this week or early next week on Interstate Highway 20 between Farm Road 1255 and the Smith County Line. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and motorists are encouraged to be prepared to reduce speed and merge in and around the work zones.
WOOD COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to make pavement repairs on Farm Road 1643 between Farm Road 515 near Pleasant Grove and Farm Road 69 northeast of Forest Hill. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.
ANDERSON COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue base and pavement repairs on U.S. Highway 287 between State Highway 294 in Elhart and the Houston County Line. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.
RUSK COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to perform base and edge repairs on various park roads and camping pads in Martin Creek Lake State Park.
