TxDOT Project Updates

TYLER — Here’s a quick look at other work planned in Smith County by the Tyler District of the Texas Department of Transportation.
SMITH COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue edge work on Farm Road 15 between Troup and the Rusk County Line. Elsewhere, TxDOT maintenance crews are scheduled to begin edge work on Farm Road 2015 between Farm Road 14 near the Wood County Line and Farm Road 16 east of Winona. Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress. Motorists are encouraged to be prepared to reduce speed and merge in and around the work zone.
GREGG COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance this week are scheduled to resume several weeks of pavement-repair work on U.S. Highway 80 between Loop 485 in Gladewater and the Upshur County Line. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic in two-lane areas
VAN ZANDT COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to begin fog seal operations on Interstate Highway 20 between Farm Road 1255 and the Smith County Line. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and motorists are encouraged to be prepared to reduce speed and merge in and around the work zones.
WOOD COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to make base and pavement repairs on Farm Road 1254 east of Mineola. A second crew is scheduled to make edge repairs on FM 1795 east of Hawkins. Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.
CHEROKEE COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to begin work to widen the shoulders of Farm Road 747 North, between U.S. Highway 79 and the end of state maintenance. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.
ANDERSON COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue base and pavement repairs on U.S. Highway 287 between State Highway 294 in Elkhart and the Houston County Line. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.
RUSK COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue base and edge repairs on various park roads and camping pads in Martin Creek Lake State Park.
