A second crew is scheduled to resume base and pavement repairs on East Loop 323 in Tyler between the Loop 323 Extension and Commerce Street. Looking ahead to the week of April 7, construction crews from contractor APAC-Dallas, Inc. are scheduled to begin work to reshape northbound U.S. Highway 69 between Toll 49 and Cumberland Road to lower the grade of the roadway to allow better access and sight distance into the new development in the area. The project will also add two traffic signals in the area to facilitate easier access for southbound traffic turning into the development. During construction, the speed limit in the area will be reduced from 55 mph to 45 mph and traffic will regularly be reduced to one lane, particularly on the northbound side. The $2.1 million project has been completely funded by the developer.
