TxDOT logoTYLER — Here’s a quick look at other work planned in Smith County by the Tyler District of the Texas Department of Transportation.

TYLER – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews on Tuesday are scheduled to perform base and pavement repairs on West Loop 323 in Tyler between State Highway 31 (Front Street) and State Highway 64 (West Erwin Street), during which time southbound traffic on Loop 323 will be reduced to one lane. Motorists are strongly encouraged to see alternate routes if possible to avoid lengthy delays.

Then on Thursday, crews are scheduled perform the same work on SH 64 between West Loop 323 and Farm Road 724 near Tyler Pounds Regional Airport. Meanwhile, a second crew is scheduled to continue base and pavement repairs on East Loop 323 between the Loop 323 Extension and Commerce Street.

Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress, and motorists should be prepared to reduce speed and merge in and around the work zone.

GREGG COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to perform shoulder work in the recently resurfaced areas on Farm Road 2087 between South Loop 281 in Longview and Interstate 20. Daytime lane closures will be in effect, and flaggers will control traffic.

WOOD COUNTY – Construction crews this week are scheduled to resume pavement-widening operations on State Highway 154 between Quitman and Lake Fork. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.

VAN ZANDT COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue base and pavement repairs on Farm Road 1504 between U.S. Highway 80 in Edgewood and SH 64 in Myrtle Springs. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.

CHEROKEE COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled perform shoulder and edge work on State Highway 204 between Loop 456 in Jacksonville and State Highway 110 in Ponta. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.

ANDERSON COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continues base and pavement repairs on U.S. Highway 287 between Elkhart and the Houston County line. A second crew is scheduled to continue work to clean and repair ditches in various locations on Farm Road 321 between State Highway 155 in Mound Prairie and Farm Road 2574 in Neches. Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.

HENDERSON COUNTY – Construction crews this week are scheduled to continue widening drainage structures on Farm Road 317 between Farm Road 607 and Farm Road 314. The work is the first phase of a project to add shoulders to Farm Road 317 in this area. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.

RUSK COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue base and pavement repairs on Farm Road 95 between State Highway 315 and U.S. Highway 84 east of Mount Enterprise. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress and flaggers will control traffic.
