thumb_Barbara-BassTYLER — Tyler Mayor Barbara Bass welcomed hundreds to her last Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast Thursday as she prepares to complete her six-year term. Pointing out that the day is recognized as the National Day of Prayer, Bass added, “But we know that each and every day is a day of prayer for each of us.” Activities at the Harvey Convention Center event included prayers for healing, courage, hope, enlightenment, Tyler, and the nation, as well as a prayer for exhortation. Attendees were also treated to music and a “Prayer America” video. The prayer breakfast committee made a special surprise presentation to Bass at the conclusion of the event, handing her a bouquet, a plaque, and words of thanks. Also on the prayer day agenda was “come and go” prayer on the downtown square from 9:00am till 9:00pm.
