Man Rescued after Boat Capsizes

LAKE PALESTINE � A Man�s boat capsized on Lake Palestine near Coffee City Monday evening. Luckily, the East Texan is safe. According to authorities, eyewitnesses say a large wave threw the driver out of his boat. Two search and rescue teams then traced the shoreline just east of the bridge near the Smith County-Henderson County line. Game wardens tell KETK they called off the search after two men on a boating dock said they saw it happen, so they jumped in, and saved the man. Strong wind gusts are blamed for the accident. The Coffee City Volunteer Fire Department assisted in the search.
