Longview ISD Struggling with Contract for Superintendent Finalist

LONGVIEW — Longview public schools narrow their choice to one man for superintendent, but KETK reports contract negotiations are causing friction on the school board. Horace Williams was chosen as the lone finalist. But trustees say they can’t match Williams’s previous superintendent contract at Cedar Hill schools of a $202,000 salary plus expenses. The board is split on a decision for Williams’s contract. Members now have to either reach an agreement on his salary or choose another candidate.
