Person of Interest Questioned after House Fire

LONGVIEW — One person was detained by the Longview Police Department following a house fire. The blaze broke out on the 1200 block of Chad Street around 4:30 Thursday afternoon. The back of the home, living room and kitchen were heavily damaged by heat and smoke before the fire was contained. According to KETK, one person was taken into custody for questioning by officers but their identity is unknown. Fire officials are currently investigating the blaze. The cause has not been determined, but officials did report the fire began in the living room. One person has been displaced.
