Infant Left at Kilgore Fire Station
Posted/updated on: June 23, 2014 at 12:12 pmKILGORE – A newborn baby is in the hospital after being dropped off at a Kilgore Fire Station. The Safe Haven or Baby Moses Law, passed in Texas in 1999, allows infants under 60 days old to be dropped at a hospital, fire station, or emergency medical services (EMS) station, no questions asked. Kilgore Fire Chief Johnny Bellows told KETK that the newborn baby boy was dropped off at the Kilgore Fire Station #2 around 12:30 Saturday morning. Child Protective Services will now take over the case.
