Daycare Worker Fired; State Officials Are Investigating

LONGVIEW � A Longview church has fired a daycare worker, after church officials say she hit a child with a shoe. The Longview News-Journal report a state investigation is now in place at Oakland Heights Baptist Church. The church�s childcare center fired the employee in June. Afterwards the church notified state officials about the incident. The Worker reportedly hit the child with a shoe as punishment for taking his shoes off.
