Rockin C RanchLINDALE After nearly 17 years, the Rockin C Ranch is closing its doors. The camp, billed as a small camp with big fun and huge life lessons, is shutting down. Located on 150 acres, including a ten acre private lake, the ranch is located on County Road 325 near Lindale.

According to a note on its web site; Matt and Janie Clapp and the Board of Directors of the Rockin C Ranch Christian Camp regretfully announce the closing of the Camp. Since its inception in 1997, the Camp has served thousands of campers, church retreats, children through outdoor education programs, special needs children and employed hundreds of college and high school youth as counselors, wranglers and interns. The selfless contributions of Board members, Sowers, Full time staff, Donors and especially the Clapp family have been invaluable in the operation of the non-profit Camp over the last 17 years.

The note went on to say, We want to express our deepest gratitude to all who have enabled the success of this Christian mission. The dedicated giving of your resources, time and talent has facilitated countless children and adults to realize the love and grace of Jesus Christ. Words cannot express our heartfelt appreciation for each of you. We have trusted God for the founding and development of the Rockin C and will continue to trust His plan for the future.
