Study to Be Done on Lake Cherokee Silt Levels
Posted/updated on: August 14, 2014 at 1:49 pmLONGVIEW — Longview is keeping an eye on one of its water sources. KETK reports the city’s about to conduct a study on silt levels in Lake Cherokee. Over time, construction and development in the area can cause silt runoff to build up. This can lead to pollution and lower water levels. Officials say this is the second time such a study has been done. The city isn’t expecting to see much change in Cherokee’s water levels.
